"After staying at the Tropical Bamboo Hideaway, we know the beauty and grace of Kauai. This charming place offers a sweet view of the ocean and waves at a distance in a serene setting. The peace we experienced there was spectacular. Everything you could want or need is provided. There is a short walk to a great beach for a lazy afternoon of watching the sand crabs and waves or a quick drive to great swimming beaches. We loved the romantic feel of the bamboo hideaway too. Nearby restaurants were terrific; like the Bar-Acuda and the Hanalei Dolphin. It was a fabulous stay and we even came back engaged to be married! That is how romantic is was!! We loved our trip and highly recommend this beautiful place with all its Kauai charm! Thank you for the availability of this rental. It was a grand unique experience!"

"We enjoyed staying in the Bamboo hideaway, a few short minutes from bustling Hanalei. It was fabulous. The building is modern and very well designed. It had all of the normal amenities, such as full kitchen and updated baths. The entertainment system provided all the media and network access one could want. The owner was very helpful; confirming the reservation, ensuring the place was ready when we arrived, suggesting some fun things to do which were right on, and her take on food is consistent with what we found on the island. We really liked staying there and would do it again!".

Pristine Beach
Walk out of the villa and cross the road to a short backroad and you are on pristine white sand beach gazing at the clear blue water of the Pacific. Look to your left and see the world famous Bali Hai (featured in the movie South Pacific). It is one of the truly romantic places on Kauai. You can walk along the beach collecting shells, swim and snorkel with the marine life on the reef or just laze under the palm trees. Heavenly!    

Lush, Tropical Setting
Even though you are so close to the beach, this villa sits against Kauai’s lush landscape. There is a small stream running along the back of the property and when you are in the Villa, it truly feels as though you are amongst the trees. A true getaway from your daily routine. You won’t want to leave!

Exotic & Unique Bamboo Villa
Our first guests described the villa as exotic and they are right! The whole villa was imported from Vietnam and is entirely made of Bamboo. It feels as though you are stepping back to some earlier time when life was simpler, buildings were made from the materials at hand and harmony with nature was the way...and yet this Bamboo Hideaway is exotic, full of unique touches & surprises.

Modern Ameneties & Decor
Simple luxury is coupled with granite in the kitchen, stainless appliances and a luxury that will keep you relaxing inside as much as on the beach. The living room is bright with windows and doors on every wall. The wrap around deck stretches the perimeter of the entire villa making outside living as attractive as inside. Sit on the lanai and gaze at the ocean or smell the the lush tropical plants. You will know you are in the tropics!

Na Pali Coast is 5 Minutes North
The fabled Na Pali Coast has celebrated for years. The magnificent 3,000 foot high emerald green cliffs above the Pacific and the waterfalls cascading down in to the azure water. It is a spectacular place. Take a boat trip, kayak in the Summer, hike the trail into the famous Kalalau Valley – this is one of Kauai’s most prized places. From the Villa to the Na Pali Coast, try all the beaches along the way - Haena where the waves are fun, Tunnels where you can look at the “tunnels” created by ancient lava and see many sea creatures and Ke’e, where you can snorkel with the turtles. 

Hanalei is 5 Minutes South
Hanalei is the prettiest town on the island.   Some of you may be familiar with “Puff the Magic Dragon” who “lives by the sea in a town called Hanalee”   (they had to change the last letter to make it rhyme!). Hanalei Bay is famous the world over – the gorgeous half moon bay where you can swim, boogie board and surf. It is perfect for couples and families alike! Hanalei Town is full of quaint boutiques and great restaurants.

Great Location for Outdoor Activities
Your next outdoor adventure is waiting for you! You can paraglide and windsurf right acorss the street, take the Na Pali boat trip from Hanalei, hike the Na Pali coast on trails just 5 minutes away, kayak the local waterways, horseback ride to beautiful waterfalls, surf off of the gorgeous north shore beachs, hop on a paddle board, snorkel in the clear blue water, scuba dive with the marine life, zipline the tropical rain forest and so much more (visit the activities & amenities page for a detailed list)!
